The 1756-RM2 is a ControlLogix Redundancy Module designed to enable controller redundancy within ControlLogix systems. It pairs with another 1756-RM2 module in a separate chassis to provide high-performance fiber-optic communication, supporting synchronization speeds of up to 1000 Mbps and a controller switchover time of approximately 20 milliseconds. The module features single-channel fiber connections (one transmit and one receive), capable of supporting distances up to 10 km. It complies with IEC 60079-15 standards for protection and is suitable for high-reliability automation applications.
