It supports the PROFIBUS protocol up to the DP-V1 specification, enabling communication with up to 125 nodes on a network at data rates suitable for various control systems. The module features a standard 9-way female D-type connector for easy integration into PROFIBUS networks. For DP-V1 functionality, it requires configuration using the appropriate GSD file matched to the module. The SM-PROFIBUS_DP-V1 is compatible with specific firmware versions (V03.02.03 or later) to ensure full DP-V1 capabilities and can interface with host controllers supporting the protocol.
