Johnathan Craddock

With over 15 years’ experience in sales and purchasing, I’ve developed a strong understanding of what businesses need from their suppliers. My career began at John Craddock Ltd, where I progressed from sales into purchasing management, gaining valuable experience in supplier relationships, component sourcing and finding practical solutions for customers.

I founded CJS Automation in February 2023 to bring that experience into a business built around personal service and a genuine passion for industrial automation. One of the most rewarding parts of running the company is seeing how far we’ve come, building relationships with customers and suppliers around the world and watching the business continue to grow.

Today, I oversee the business and work closely with our team and supplier network to help customers source new, refurbished and obsolete automation components. I particularly enjoy the challenging enquiries, especially when a customer has struggled to find a part or been told it’s no longer available. Finding a solution when others haven’t been able to is incredibly satisfying, particularly when a small component can make such a big difference to someone’s operation.

I believe good business relationships are built on trust, clear communication and doing what you say you’ll do. Every day brings something different, and that’s one of the things I enjoy most about running CJS Automation.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, travelling and getting away whenever I can.
