The EL5001 EtherCAT Terminal is an SSI master module designed for direct connection of absolute encoders using the SSI (synchronous serial interface) protocol. It enables cyclic polling of SSI devices, supporting both single-turn and multi-turn encoders with outputs in gray or binary code. The terminal features a flexible baud rate of up to 1 MHz and data lengths of up to 32 bits. Additionally, the EL5001 can be used for monitoring data exchange between the SSI master and slave encoders, facilitating precise and reliable communication within automation systems.
