CJS Automation Muuttaa uusiin toimitiloihinsa

CJS Automation has moved into new premises. After several weeks of renovations, moving equipment, and unpacking, we’re ready to share a milestone we’ve been working toward for three years.

For us, arriving here is personally significant. It also gives our business a new base to grow from, with customers’ needs guiding what comes next.

Three years ago, Sophie and I sat on our sofa and discussed starting CJS Automation. We had no premises, no team, and no clear idea where that conversation would lead.

Turning an idea into a business took patience. Long days became familiar; mistakes brought lessons we could only learn through experience. Progress came gradually, through hard work and a willingness to keep improving.

Standing outside our own premises gave us a rare chance to pause and recognise how far we had come. Behind that moment were countless decisions, challenges and people who helped us along the way.

Our new premises provide more storage for automation parts, giving us greater flexibility to organise stock and accommodate additional components as CJS Automation grows. This capacity creates an opportunity to expand our stockholding based on customer demand.

The move also lets us review how we check, pack, and prepare orders for dispatch. A well-planned layout can reduce unnecessary handling and make each stage easier to coordinate, from locating a component to preparing it for courier collection.

Access brings another practical improvement. Our previous site was reached by a narrow, pothole-ridden, single-track lane, which made routine deliveries and collections unnecessarily difficult.

Alongside these operational benefits, we now have a place to meet customers and suppliers. Discussing requirements face-to-face gives us time to understand particular challenges, explore sourcing options and plan future stock needs together.

Our first three years have taught us plenty about the demands of supplying automation parts. As CJS Automation develops, that experience will help us decide where to invest our time and resources, prioritising changes that make a practical difference when customers need support.

Our aim is to build on experience gained so far, making thoughtful decisions about how we support customers as their requirements change. Growth needs a purpose. For CJS Automation, that means developing a business equipped to respond when sourcing an automation part becomes difficult or urgent.

For customers, a supplier’s move matters most when it supports dependable service. You need clear answers about availability, help finding suitable components, and realistic delivery information.

Those priorities will continue to guide our work from this new home. Whether you’re dealing with an unexpected failure or planning ahead for maintenance, we’re here to discuss your requirements and help you understand your options.
